The remarkable variety and depth of tile industry know-how at Studio Tile affords homeowners the unusual opportunity to work with local people that rank among the most seasoned tile professionals in the U.S. This special distinction establishes Studio Tile as a consummate “go to” resource for all things tile related; exceptional tile products, tile resources, designing with tile and tile information.

After emigrating from Naples Italy, Anthony enlisted in the U.S. Navy. On return from military service, he worked as a floor covering contractor to finance his college education. He quickly gravitated toward ceramic tile installation; a flooring niche well suited to him.  His European childhood and fluency in Italian proves useful in an American tile industry heavily influenced by the tradition of Italian and European ceramic tile manufacturing.

He quickly moved to ceramic tile retail, wholesale and sales management. He mastered importing, distribution, operations management and logistics, while operating a U.S. tile sales and marketing agency. Over the years, he’s represented numerous Italian, European and other tile factories. As a result, product development and manufacturing processes round out Anthony’s comprehensive expertise.

In 1997, the tile industry prompted relocation to Brevard County when Anthony assumed an executive position with Ricchetti, an Italian tile manufacturer. One of the largest Italian tile manufacturing groups, holding 13 European tile brands, Ricchetti selected Melbourne, FL for its U.S. home base.  Anthony’s work with tile importers, other tile manufacturers and the Ricchetti Group continued and ultimately lead to founding Studio Tile. At first, it was a means to provide back-up inventory and sales support for a network of U.S. tile distributors.

He is a decades long member of the CTDA, Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, a national organization of ceramic tile manufacturers, importers and distributors. He is a Certified Tile Consultant (CTC); a distinction earned through the Ceramic Tile Institute of America (CTIOA). The CTIOA honored him in 2009 by publishing his field report on Green Building and Ceramic Tile entitled, Ceramic Tile; Missing In Action on the Green Building Front.

Lisa's first “hands on” with clay was around the age of 8 or 9. Art classes included hand-built pottery, sculpture, drawing and painting. College focused Lisa on a path for creative work. With a BFA in graphic design and visual communication, Lisa embarked on her professional journey; first in printing, then into the tradeshow industry. This lead to a marketing position at Proctor and Gamble.  The compelling need for a more imaginative pursuit resulted in her discovery of the tile industry.

In 1993, as a first-time tile showroom manager and designer, the fine arts, graphic design and clay training was immediately useful to understanding the manufacturing process of tile; along with the intrinsic features, strengths and innumerable applications of tile. Post graduate courses in architectural studies and interior design prepared her more fully for a tile career focused on designing tiled spaces, showroom consultation, tile training forstaff and colleagues, tile marketing and sales.

International exposure to tile related events and factory trips brought Lisa up to speed on the world-wide tile scene, while she worked on tile product development projects for a variety of manufacturers. In 1999, Lisa took on U.S. sales agency responsibility for Sannini Impruneta, a Florence based producer of terracotta tiles, architectural products, landscape elements and planters. This assignment required extensive travel, architectural and design presentations, training seminars for tile importers and distributor sales staff, US marketing and tradeshow management.

In 2006, Studio Tile was established at the first location on New York Avenue in Melbourne, FL. The primary focus was national sales to ceramic tile distributors and retailers. The company evolved over the years to focus on providing local residents and business owners with an up-scale, friendly showroom stocked with thousands of tiles.

The Suntree Showroom opened in August 2010.  An expansion in 2014 added much needed space for a growing collection of porcelain, stone, mosaics, ceramic, metal and countless other types of tiles.  2017 brings additional expansion to house a new Studio Tile endeavor.
